NU School of Biotechnology Participates in Systems Biology Training at Universidad de Oviedo, Asturias, Spain

Members of NU School of Biotechnology participated in a research training at Universidad de Oviedo in Asturias, Spain, on 8-10 November 2023 as part of the Online Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine (OPPM) Program.

The training sessions were held at the Department of Organisms and Systems Biology at the Faculty of Biology and were mainly focused on analytical methodologies in systems biology. These included practical sessions on ECTS application, biomolecule isolation and quantification, ONT-Nanopore sequencing, and qPCR.

OPPM is a consortium funded by the European education program ERASMUS+ that aims at designing the first diploma and MSc program in pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine in Egypt and the Middle East. The consortium is led by Alexandria University and includes universities and organizations from all around the world including Nile University.
