NU School of Biotechnology Participates in the Inauguration of the First Business Incubator for Biotechnology in Egypt

Dr. Asmaa Abu Shady, Vice Dean of the School of Biotechnology, participated the inauguration of the first Business Incubator for Biotechnology (BIB) at the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University. The meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Ashraf Bakry, CEO of the incubator and its lead Principal Investigator, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Prof. Dr. Hisham Hariri, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

BIB is an initiative sponsored by The Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT) with partners from Ain Shams University and the School of Biotechnology at Nile University in collaboration with NilePreneurs. It aims at building start-up companies based on scientific research output in the different fields of biotechnology with an ultimate goal of serving the national economy. During the session, board members explained the incubator goals and the different programs to be provided.
