Mahmoud Mohsen graduated from Misr University for Science and Technology in 2018 with a B.Sc. degree in Biotechnology. He is currently a bioinformatics M.Sc. student at the School of Information Technology and Computer Science, Nile university. He also worked as a teaching assistant at Nile University. His first study, "the effect of insulin and vitamin E on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease," exposed him to the field of research during his undergraduate years. By having his work published in an international publication of advanced research, he reached a remarkable milestone. Following that, he focused on his undergrad research project, which was titled "the effect of tamoxifen and silver nanoparticles on hepatocellular cancer".
His interest in molecular biology grew, and he worked in molecular diagnostic labs for several years, developing his technical skills and expanding his knowledge of lab equipment. He also has a wide experience in bioinformatics analysis. He has been selected as a member of the online pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine post-grade program (OPPM) from Erasmus.
