Esraa Ibrahim

Esraa Ibrahim has a passion for learning about psychological disorders and helping people. She majored in psychology to learn more about the onset and consequences of psychological disorders, which helped her during her work at Culture & Education for the Child & Family Foundation (CECF), Egypt and as a student counselor at the student-wellbeing office, at AUC. She then wanted to delve deeper into the molecular aspects of these psychiatric disorders disorders, she also declared a second major in biology. In 2021, Esraa completed a double bachelor’s in biology and psychology from the American university in Cairo (AUC). Esraa was lucky to receive a research grant to help fund her study, which was titled "The Effects of European Plum (Prunus domestica) in an Animal Model of Chronic Stress." As well as publishing a paper titled “Shame, Identity, and Socio-Emotional Behavioral Regulation.” Esraa is now in the process of doing her masters degree in molecular and clinical neuroscience, at University of Groningen (RUG), The Netherlands. Over the years she was able to accumulate expertise in molecular biology, psychology, and molecular neuroscience. Since October 2023, Esraa then joined Nile University as a Teaching Assistant at the School of Biotechnology.
