Introduction to probability & Statistics

This course is an introduction and overview of probability and statistics where the students will discuss the organization and presentation of statistical data–Measures of central tendency (Mean, Median, Mode, ...) of raw data and grouped data–Measures of dispersion (Range, Variance and standard deviation, Interquartile Range) of raw data and grouped data–Definition of the probability-Conditional probability -Independence of events and Bayes theorem -Definition of the random variable-discrete and continuous distribution –some special probability distributions (Binomial distribution, Poisson distribution, Hypergeometric distribution and Normal distribution).
