Teaching Assistant Ms. Shaimaa Reda Wins the African Biodiversity Fellowship for Emerging Genomics Leaders 2024

We are delighted to announce that Ms. Shaimaa Reda, Teaching Assistant at NU School of Biotechnology, has been granted the African Biodiversity Fellowship for Emerging Genomics Leaders 2024, a partnership between the African BioGenome Project & the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology (IGB), University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA.

 

AFRICABP is a pan-African effort that aims to establish genomic data of thousands of species for the enhancement and sustainable use of agriculture and biodiversity across Africa.

 

Through this fellowship, African fellows will be able to spend 1 month in an African institution & 3 months at IGB, USA with a goal of building project-based genomics and bioinformatics leadership across Africa.
