AfricaBP Workshop: Exploring Bioinformatics in Marine Biology - A Bioinformatics Approach to Biodiversity Loss
The School of Biotechnology at Nile University successfully concluded its second round of the 5-day workshop, "Exploring Bioinformatics in Marine Biology: A Bioinformatics Approach to Biodiversity Loss," moderated by Dr. Asmaa Abu Shady, the School’s Vice Dean and member of the African Biogenome Project (AfricaBP) consortium.
Participants explored cutting-edge techniques to analyze complex datasets and combat marine biodiversity loss. This workshop was a significant step towards achieving the goals of the AfricaBP, a pan-African initiative dedicated to sequencing the genomes of thousands of African species to advance agriculture and biodiversity conservation.
