Biotechnology School-related Webinar by Dr. Sara Elfarrash

The webinar titled “Starting a Neuroscience Research Journey in Egypt” was presented by Dr. Sara Elfarrash, an assistant professor of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University. She earned her Ph.D. as a double degree from Aarhus University in Denmark and Mansoura University. During her Ph.D., she established a new model for alpha-synuclein pathology using mouse hippocampal organotypic slice culture, for which she published multiple papers in reputable international journals. She continues to use the tissue culture model she established to study molecular mechanisms of neurodegenerative disease at the Medical Experimental Research Center at Mansoura University.
