Principles of plant tissue culture technology

This course provides an overview of various in vitro plant cell, tissue, and organ culture techniques and their applications in agriculture, horticulture, industrial biotechnology, and the pharmaceutical industry. The curriculum includes topics such as laboratory organization, different culture techniques, media components, micropropagation techniques, bioreactors, variations, cryopreservation, and artificial somatic seed development. Through hands-on laboratory experience, students learn about plant tissue culture technology, including media preparation, isolation and culture of explants, plant regeneration, and acclimatization of tissue culture-developed plants.
